Australian Volleyball Schools Cup - Gold Coast
In 2020, Greenwood College will send volleyball teams to represent the school and Western Australia at the national championships held on the Gold Coast known as the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup. The eight-day tournament provides Greenwood College Volleyball athletes the opportunity to face top competition from all around Australia and New Zealand. The marquee event encourages team bonding, sight-seeing around the Gold Coast and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Each volleyball specialist student-athlete is responsible for fundraising and paying his/her own way to the AVSC, where costs can exceed $2,150.00 per player, per year. In 2016, the AVSC Melbourne Tour cost our athletes a total of $84,000.00. Due to the high costs, participation is limited and a number of highly-skilled athletes miss out on the opportunity to gain experience and represent Greenwood College nationally. If you are interested in donating to the Greenwood College volleyball specialist students to aid our trip to nationals on the Gold Coast, please visit our DONORS tab and contact Angie Ayers, Volleyball Co-ordinator at Angie.Ayers@education.wa.edu.au. Thank you for your support!
